Gullion 1949 Neotoma fuscipes -2- Sept 4 Brannan Mtn., 3700 ft., Humboldt Co., Calif. - 1 gray animal taken by trap in a broad (1 foot) well marked run-away over bare ground between clumps of [illegible] - [illegible] Brannan Mtn., 3950 feet. Humboldt Co., Calif. - 1 brown individual taken in a trap set at the base of a small Madrone surrounded by Brush Tan Oak, Golden-cup Oak and Huckleberry Oak on the N side of the summit of this mtn., about 30 feet down slope. Neither of the above animals were near known wood-rat houses.
