Gulliver 1949 Chloris chloris chlorus chlorus Sept 7 Red Mtn., 5300 ft., 14 mi S Hayfork, Trinity Co. Calif. / collected from a Ferry Oak (6 foot one) in the midst of a Manigita - Careothus cuneatus Thicket on the edge of an extensive bald south slope in th saddle N of Red Mtn. This bird responded when I was trying to call a Brown Towhee out of another series of bushes several yards away.
