South, 5300ft, 14 mi S Bay fork Trinity R., fall.
1 ♀ plumaged bird collected from in a White Fir over the spring at our camp-site about 7 a.m. today. These birds have been in this area daily but have proven to be difficult to take.
This is the only bird taken at this camp, tho Dr. Leopold got at least 3 on the sides of South Dubakella Mtn a couple of miles N of here.
