Kullion 1949 Chamaea fasciata -3 Sept 4 3 mi. N Willow Creek, 700 ft., Humboldt Co., Calif. while the ridge birds are representatives of the inland race, coming coastward along the arid brushy ridges Summary Northwest Coast District, Calif. - Wren-tits were encountered at all three of the first camps. They were birds of low elevation dense coastal or river bottom brush at Big Lagoon and Willow Creek, and were birds of thick Tan Oak brush at French Camp and on the 2000 ft. ridges above Willow Creek. Once I thought I heard a bird in a Brewer's Oh- Manzanita covered opening at Red Mtn. but I was never sure and didn't get to see the bird.
