Bomasa umbellus
-1-
Aug 26 3 mi. N Willow Creek, 700 ft Humboldt Co., Calif.
1 bird collected out of a coveny of 8 or 10 birds
on the road just out of camp about 5 p.m.
All the birds seen were about the same
age and may have all been of the same
brood. No adults were recognized in the
fleeing flock.
Summary Northwest Coast Transect, Calif. - These birds
were found only in the stream bottoms coming
out from the Trinity Crest area near Willow
Creek. At least along Raccoon Creek these
birds were quite common and were
regularly encountered by persons working
down stream from our camp area.
