Sept 11 Tehama to Contra Costa Co., Calif.
Moving on down the valley I saw a Horned
Lark and several Western Kingbirds. Along
the valley from Red Bluff to Richmond
[illegible]
I saw many Shrikes and great
numbers of Redwings. Also saw a Tail-
Less Mourning Dove. Lots of Ring-necked
Phasants were seen along the Valley high-
way. Looks like a good season in that area.
Phalaropes (Northern?) were seen abundantly
on nearly every accumulation of water
mud- puddle, pond and irrigation ditch.
