of Hwy 80. Like the last place essentially.
Sceloporus
Sam got one
inside a cactus.
Cnemidophorus
Sam got three
and Tim got one. There were many around but all
very hot and fast.
Hypsiglena
Under base of rotting yuccas.
Masticophis
Sam got one
Small specimen. Color w/ life: Olive green
facing to Dorsum olive green anteriorly changing
to brown posteriorly; tips of tail reddish brown.
Venter light yellow anteriorly fading to olive
light
green at midbody and reddish/brown underside of
brown
the tail. Labials same yellowish color on
ventral part of throat. A thin light lateral line
anteriorly fading posteriorly.
Masticophis flagellum I routed a
large yellowish specimen out of a rotten yucca, but
it got away down a running hole at the base of
a large Acacia.
Continued on into Col. Victoria amavis after
dark and stayed at the Frank Motel. Went into
the Posta restaurant for dinner. Pretty good.
The pass over De Sierra just west of Col.
