Tadpoles Sam Scoop out a bunch of tads from an even manner part of the stream between the ferrways. Stumbled back to the hotel bar to down two 7-ups apiece and recover from the severe heat and humidity. Temp w shade according to thermaneter in the bar: 34°C. Continued south on Mex. Hwy 85 and tried several froggy looking areas - elephant ear clumps (but with no water beneath), streams, and creeks. Found nothing. At Tamazunchale the road starts to go up into La Sierra again. We continued on the road into Hidalgo but stopped at a transit area near Puerto de la Zorra where I. Riddell told Sam there were sink holes with Chiropterotriton mosaueri. We found several sink holes but Sam deemed them to deep to enter so we will look for shallower ones tomorrow. Camped in a grassy swale just a few hundred meters up the road from the cutoff to Puerto de la Zorra. Sky was overcast at dark & we had a fun
