"will no develop throat color. Anomius undulata Sam got one along the side of the road in the leaf litter in the valley between the Sierra de los Mangos and the Sierra Madre. Returned from the walk down absolutely exhausted and sat around recuperating until about 5 PM when we picked up cars and moved to a quarried out area on the west east ~~west~~ side of the Sierra de los Mangos on the Gomez Farías Road. Got the following at this locality between approx. 5:30 pm and twilight. Sceloporus variabilis! Sam got one and I got two which bear three tags. I also "got" two others which got away. All the lizards I saw were either on rocks, trees or we are near a bank fronting a patch of Thorn scrub. This locality is low deciduous tropical forest which has not come into leaf yet. There is great plant and bird diversity too -- much more so as comparable latitude on the west coast.
