Orange markings on the carapace and black blotches centered in each scute of the plastron. Not saved. Drove into the far west side of Brownsville to find a phone and call Sanborn's at around 1 P.M. No plates according to Mr. McCormick. So headed back out Hwy 281. Route paved cut-off to Villa Nueva and worked a locality. Vicinity Villa Nueva (0.6 mi. W. junct.
