Transcription
Continued east on Loop Rd. 374 and
got a big Pituophis melanoleucus for on the
east edge of Palmview or 2.8 miles west of
Conway & 16th St. in Mission on Loop 374, Hidalgo Co.
Entered Brownsville on Itwys 83 & 77
and stopped at an abandoned, dilapidated
house on The Resaca del Rancho Viejo, Rts. 83 &
77, Brownsville, Cameron Co, Texas.
Hunted around the house under the
trash and boards and also in the field west of the
house which was largely knee-high grass
with open areas -- the whole field bordered
on the west by Acacia's from The Resaca still
further west. Got the following:
16-19 Cnemidophorus gularis : Sam got two, Philip
Got one and I got three. These last four
animals carry there field numbers.
Generally saw three animals at the interface
between the open areas and either the grass or the
acacia trees.
20 Eumeces tetragramus Sam got
one under a railroad tie and I got one in
palm detritus.
Sceloporus Sam got one
