Creophilus striogrammus: several seen. This taken alive and given to J.W. for fixing left the Rio Yaqui and drove over to Hermosillo at the tail of a large Thunderstorm. Then lots of sunny water. Ate at a steak house in Hermosillo, then headed north on Hwy. 15. Stopped at two localities to hunt for geckos as follows: 6.7 miles N. Hermosillo, Son. via Hwy. 15 west Boulder on the [illegible] side of the road, g[illegible] 420 Found one Phyllodactylus homolepidurus and one 421 Crotalus molossus. 19.1 miles N. Hermosillo Son. via Hwy. 15 Uplifted hill on the west side of the hill behind the truck stop. John Wright found Phyllodactylus and one Sceloporus clarki - The last sleeping on the north face of a boulder.
