7-18 July 266-271 Pterochyla fordensis : calling frm just above the edge of the water. Went to bed in the same slow steady rain that we had while collecting the frogs. It rained most of the night. 18 July Awoke shortly after six a.m. and ran the mammal traps that we set out the night before. Caught Perognathus goldmani only. Also caught a Phrynosoma solare as we were pulling out of the camp. (Loc = south side of Bacanora, Son). 272 Drive down to the arroyo on the southeast south east side of Bacanora Son. and began working the fence rows, gullies and field edge for Cnemidophorus fr John. The area is largely agricultural fields bordered by several large shallow washes. There are then trees at the islands of the washes and along the field edge. Saw or got the following from approx. 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM 272a-c Sceloporus clarkii : generally in trees. One seen on fence post that would jump the 2 feet or so between the posts over easy.
