Set mouse traps & went to bed watching a fantastic
electric storm to the south.
16 July
Got up at 6:00 AM & ran the traps. Got two
species Perognathus : baileyi (33) + perricillatus (4)
Jim & John walked into Huasalas to get oil
and I hunted around our campsite. John
got a DOE, dried Colonyx variegatus on the
road between camp & Huasalas & at our camp
(1.6 miles W. Huasalas, Son.) I got the
following.

Urosaurus ornatus : one or two
seen in acacia trees in an array to the
south side of our camp site.
Holbrookia elegans : on the flats
around camp.
Description of camp area. A low shallow
grade went to Huasalas cut with arroyos.
Vegetation consists of palo verde, Ficuaria medullagi,
burrus bush, and then sent & organ pipe.
Ground is even stony pavement.
Went into town - parking Jim's car then
The oil that we put in ran out immediately.
Changed the smacked oil filter at Huasalas &
had a fantastic breakfast at Ramon's
restaurant.
