236-239 Sceloporus clarki: All four specimens were taken from trees along De Rio Bonita. I saw a fifth specimen, probably this species, sun out from under a rock I turned along a small arroyo draining De amphitheater canyon.
The lizards are very wary.
240-241 Urosaurus ornatus: seen only in the rocks near the small arroyos & gullies draining the amphitheater canyon.
# 240 ♂ throat orange, lateral belly patches deep blue. SVL = 43; TL = 59
# 241 ♂ throat blue, lateral belly patches deep blue. SVL = 45; TL = 48
Cnemidophorus barancorum (costatus group): Fairly widespread but most commonly collected along river bed & lower part of amphitheater canyon. John Wright took most of the specimens. About a dozen put up as frozen material and about 7 kept alive.
Holbrookia elegans: one got by John Wright.
Rana pipiens group: one from a small pool along De Rio Bonita and another from a stream coming down. Put up as frozen tissue.
