2 July 171 Sceloporus clarki ♀ John & Phlyp chased one down after it was turned out fro under a rock on the vegetation carried west side of the arroyo. 172-173 Crotaphytus collaris two females, each dug out from separate lava outcrops on the south side of the road. Both displayed with mouth gaping when trapped. Mouth lining pink and pharynx dark liver color making a strong contrast with the pink maw. 174-175 Thamnophis cyrtopsis one captured on the plateau above the arroyo during the late afternoon, and another smaller specimen fro under a rock just above the main water in arroyo. Photo of # 174. In addition to these herps we got the following mammals for Jim Patton: Notiosorex crawfordi - 1♂ from under a rock. Perognathus goldmani - from under rocks t out at night. Sigmodon ochrognathus (yellow-nosed Cottonrat)
