decided we would have to spend the night before
the water in the arroyo would go down enough to
cross. We therefore spent the rest of the afternoon
collecting herps and mammals. Our camp perched
on the west side of the Arroyo along the road. We
worked the area both north & south of the
road along the west side of the arroyo. The following
herps were seen or collected during the afternoon
and evening. It was not raining during the afternoon but it
rained catfurankly after dark.

pulling rocks out of the ground during the
afternoon others found hopping around on the
ground after dark. Several came into camp
during the evening to feed on the termites around
the lights. Ground color dull brown with distinct
red "warts". Bottoms of hands & feet bright yellow-brown.

dark but near the lights and [illegible] away from the
camp. Most young but one adult seen.
