July caught many by hand. Never saw more than two animals - σδ♀ - per tree. 116 Cnemidophorus tigris - along the edge of the tree-lined stream and green fields and within tree-canopied stream course. Several more seen. 117 Masticophis flagellum - found about 2 1/2-3 meters up in a tree. Very widespread purplish suffusion on the venter and somewhat on the dorsum. 118 Callisaurus draconoides - out of Mr. Campbell's driveway. Open, hand flat. Left Mrs. Campbell's about 4:00 p.m. Went back into Moctezuma for a soft drink and then south of town into the lava field where we set up camp in order to trap Perognathus for Jim. Went to bed with lightning both to the north & south of us but clear overhead. Jim saw a Salvadora when he was setting traps at sundown. This locality is 3.3 miles south of Moctezuma (by rd.) Sonora, Mexico. July Got up at sunrise and ran the mammal traps. Had about 10% success.
