instead and he sent us down to the
Flamingo Hotel for a nights lodging
courtesy of the U.G.A. Went down to
the motel for a shower and dinner at a
great steak house near the motel. Went back
to the Univ. of Arizona for a bull session
with Lowe & Robinson. This lasted until
midnight.
9th July
Got away from the motel about 8:30am
Went by to pick up Mike Robinson for
breakfast. After breakfast we were around
Tucson and for last minute shopping. Headed
South about 1:00pm for the border at
Nogales.
Crossed without incident at
Tech Mex. Hwy. 15 South to the North
side of Hermosillo where we picked up
Mex. Hwy. 21 East to Moctezuma
It got dark along the road while
we were driving and we began picking
up the lumps we happened to see.
The first thing was a Coleonyx
variegatus which I saw run across the
road in an area of rock out cropping.
Didn't get the specimen, but there can be
little doubt that it was a Coleonyx.
