-8 July NORTHWESTERN MEXICO The purpose of this trip is threefold: (1.) to collect a specific locality in south- east Sonora for a Gnemidophorus for John Wright, (2.) to collect another locality in south- east Sonora for mammals for Jim Patton, and (3.) to collect generally in southeast Sonora and northeast Sonora. This last was my particular interest in going. The people in the group were: Jim and Carol Patton, John Wright and Philip and myself. We took Jim Patton's car and planned to be gone approximately three weeks. The trip is being paid for completely out of personal funds. 7 July left Berkeley about 11:10 AM and took I-5 South to Los Angeles. Arrived at John Wright's house about 7:16PM. Went out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and then returned to John's house to spend the night (in his back gard). 8 July left John's house for Tucson at about 9:00 AM and took I-10 east. Arrived in Tucson about and went straight to The University of Arizona to find Mike Robson. Found Chuck here
