present which is the roadside rest in the hills of the Texas Canyon. Stopped for lunch in Blythe around 1 PM and for dinner in Tucson around 7 PM. Stopped for the night at 10:30 PM. Looked around the rock outcrops on the south side of the road for about 45 minutes but found nothing - no snakes nor lizards on the rocks. 25 April Awoke at 7:05 AM and got on the road at 7:30 AM. I had a Cassin's Kingbird around the camp as we loaded up. Drove into Willcox for breakfast. Continued east on I-10 and had lunch in Las Cruces about 1:00 PM. Went through El Paso and then dropped south on U.S. 90 at Van Horn. Had dinner at Marfa at 7:30 PM and then night drove from there to the Pecos River scenic overlook where we spent the night stopping about 1 AM. The night was hazy with a full moon; warm but with a faint stiff and even wind. Found the following snakes in (Hwy90s) The road between Marfa and the Pecos River. Pituophis melanoleucus : 3.3 miles E. junct. Hwys 90 & 385 in Marathon. Not saved. Crotalus atrox : 27.2 miles E. junct. Hwys 90 & 385. Not saved Masticophis taeniatus : 4.0 miles E.
