Feb. 9/1928 One Beaver set caught nothing. 1331 Thomyrs 175.5g 223-70-35-5 caught in loose silty adobe. 1332 " " 123.g 213-67-33-5 caught in loose silty adobe. 1333 Cotton Tail Rabbit. ♀ 787g 350-38-80-90 shot on fence near willows, The Beaver that I made a steel set for last night deserted his former landing spot for a new one so el set another trap there today. All of the natives here say the Beavers are extremely cunning, I saw a Tern of some kind flying on the other side of the pond today. I also saw a very large bird that was so high it looked like either a Condor or an Eagle. I was unable to determine any color at all.
