Five Mi. S. of Monument 258
West Coast of Lower Calif. Mex.
Dec. 28, 1927
Thirty five mouse or rat traps caught 2 ♂
peromyscus, 1 ♂ Mus musculus, 4 ♂ & 6 ♀
Raithodontus rags, 1 ♀ Neotoma. Hour
steel sets caught one male coon.
The coon got away leaving two
toes. This happened while I
was starting to kill him. I had
my gun there and an aux. at
two yds in the chest had no
effect and a charge of 20pes
at 20yds failed to stop him
before he vanished in the bush.
