Nov. 22, 1927 Fifteen mouse & rat traps caught four ♀ 3♂ Dipodomys, one ♂ perganathes, one ♀ + 4♂ peromyscus, one ♂ Onychomys, one ♀ neotoma. Four steel sets captured one ♀ crypte. 1033 Coyote ♀ 19½ pounds 1030-295-180-120 Caught beside spring on trail. 1034 Neotoma♀ 142 g 355- 175-36-25 Captured under manzanita bush 30 yds from trap. 1035 fuscipes ♀ 148.2 g 325-150-35-25 Caught between lg. granite rocks 1036 Onychomys ♂ 20.5 g 132-49-20-15 Captured in low bushes, sand. 1037 Peromyscus ♀ 23.5 g 162-71-21-15 Caught under chaparral & mesquite 1038 Chipmunks 76.g 133-100-34-18 Caught in runway between rocks. 1039 Calif Brown Towhee 45.2 g Caught in rat trap under bushes 1040 Dipodomys ♀ 63.g 280-168-93-19 Captured under sage brush. I saw where a coyote had killed a rabbit last night near a steel set and carried it into the brush where he ate everything but the skin, entrails and the two back legs.
