Green 1924 North end Nachogero Valley 3400 ft. Lower Calif., Mex. Nov. 20, 1924 Sunday 50 mouse and rat traps caught 6♂ & 6♀ Dipor- domys and 4♂ + 1♀ peromyscus and 1♂ onychomys. One steel set was sprung it was near the spring. The other 5 were not touched. 1019 Onychomys ♂ 20. g 157-45-20-15 1020 Peromyscus ♀ 17.5g 154-67-21-15 maniculatus = skull only since skin cannot be located 920; skin was mislabeled 1021 Peromyscus ♀ 25. g 156-73-20-15 maniculatus 1022 ♂ 20. g 153-74-20-15 This new trap line covers every association found here. It starts on the edge of the swamp Then the oak tree into the sage chaparral and mangaita, then up a long draw to a spring. There are: skunk, coyote, fox and wildcat tracks along this line. The blue jays seem to be storing corns as I have seen many carrying them in their bills. Note: Because of Green's error in the field of putting the number 920 on the skin instead of 1020, the skull and skin were mistakenly thought to belong to different specimens. Actually 920 is a coyote. Its locality and date are correct on the skin label for 1020 (as well as its measurements.
