Green 1927 Las Palmas Canyon 200 ft West side of Laguna Salada 15 mi S. of N. end Lower Coli, Mex. Nov. 9, 1927 942 Gila Woodpecker 5-4.5 g AD? Shot on palm stump, 10 ft from ground. 943 J 62. g spotted plumage Shot on palm stump, 10 ft. from ground. 944 Cactus Wren 14.5 32. g Shot on outer leaf of young palm. 945 Canyon Wren Imq 10. g Shot on top of boulder 8 ft high. Shunted in the three palm cases today. c/o the first, that is the nearest largest and the one furthest north, c/o shot the two Gila woodpeckers and a male house finch. c/o the large array which contains two distinct palm groves 5-10 yards apart c/o shot the cactus wren and canyon wren and a rock wren. c/o saw a - bout 15 emmowsewings here. The House finch already mentioned was feeding on blue black berries a - bout the size of a pea which hang in large numbers from the palms.
