I took in my twenty mouse traps today but there are still 29 rat traps out plus one steel set. I shot two Bats to night both the small black sand bats. I saw several of what I judge to be the Mexican fruit bat I shot one Mocking bird to day in the oasis. My hunting and trapping is limited to this oasis I have to go thers for water twice a day, The mocking bird is the only bird that came within range of my gun today. This camp is strangely quiet as these bird call far and few between and no insect life except the blow flies and a few mato and a stray mosquito.
