June 1927 Las Palmas Canyon 200 ft. West end of Laguna Salada is mi. South of North end. Lower Calif., Mexico. Nov. 4, 1927 10 rat traps caught one Neotoma, two Peromyscus, ♂ & ♀. 20 mouse traps caught nothing. Two mouse traps set last night in cook tent caught two perognathus, B, both female. One steel set caught nothing. 901 Neotoma♀ 133.g 308-145-33-27 rocks in Cave. 902 Perognathus, B. 22.6g 183-92-26-7 Caught in cook tent. 903 B. 24.9 200-111-25-7 Caught in cook tent. 904 Mocking Bird♀ 47.g Shot and top of Mezquitacue. Saw Black Chube, marsh Hawk and Audaton warbler today as new birds. The rain of last night and the morning was steady but light up to noon when is dispersed. I set 8 rat trap and baited them with Bacon rine. I also baited the 9 traps already out with bacon. There are still 20 traps mouse traps in the Palm canyon.
