"Green" 1927 200 ft. Las Palmas Canyon West side of Sagana Salada 15 mi. South of North End. Lower Calif., Mex. Oct. 29, 1927 shoot as he calmly started to walk away. Luckily I had a big load in my gun and when he had walked away enough to that I wouldn't shoot him badly I shot. I found he had a straight cut on his left hind foot and a very bad looking sore or bruise on his left hip. This probably was caused from a fight. There is no water around for at least 200 yds. and yet he was very wet up to the middle of his body. He must have been pretty sick as when I came to him he was moving his intestinal anatomy and his head in a most peculiar manner. There was no poop or droppings of any kind within ten yards of him. We believe this coyote was the same one Mr. Lamb shot at this afternoon. He seemed to be after the rabbit which had just been prepared for eating. I also saw several swallows to clay. Draw me Nordman
