Greene, H. 1990 November 17 worry of having others discovered in my hand (continued) luggage. No customs problems in Nairobi, tho Bob got a hilarious outright bribe demand re Kenya $2. U.S. currency: there was a $6 difference between his declaration form and his cash, and the large jovial inspector said "Therefore I will enjoy this $6," and I guess he will! November 18 Departed -5 hrs on the plane to Jordan, woke up twice. First time thinking a pale, light silvery stripe stretching straight away out the window was the horizon of dawn - but it was really a bright light from up front on the plane, shining back on the wing's leading edge. We seem to be in some separate, detached reality up here, in a giant airplane in the dark sky, one that requires an entry passage. Science tells us that the invisible portal to be breached is gravity - but from experience w/ Pan Am over Peru and United at Denver, I know the barrier is fear. Second, I woke up thinking of making love outdoors on a beautiful day: We could be lions in the grass, tails swishing. You could swat me playfully. at approx 1030hr (w/ East of U.S. time) and mid- to late afternoon (local time) I saw the sun rise
