Greese, H. 1990 November 12 (continued) the tail and posterior, the anterior parts suspended but horizontal. Spent the afternoon sorting and packing. Bob got a big ? Chalever johnstoni just afternoon, and I will try to get her and the ? from yesterday alive. after dinner (rock sorice and peanut sauce), we road walked from ~2030-2200h on the road down from the field station back around below and up via the trail to Jan and Tom's house. At 2053h Jens spotted a small Leptopelis ~3m above the roadside perched perpendicular to the horizontal branch of a small tree. When placed on the road and poked w/ a finger it gave an open-mouthed urken reflex. Jens also got 2 Ch. johnstoni on the trail back. A starry, very stary night w/ perfect temperature - crisp but yet not cold, air somehow sharp and delicious. All the surrounding mountains are clearly demarcated against the clear sky by their black tree covered horizons. November 13 Yesterday the local workers moved Bob and my bunk into an adjacent room, which had been an office w/ radio transmitter when we arrived, w/ Mike because they are converting the one the four of us were in to an office for Agnes the Radio Woman. Jens had already left his bunk for the couch in the main room because of disturbance from Jim "The Twister" and last night my snoozing drove Mike out to the floor. Partly cloudy at 0700h and periodic brief showers as we pack up specimens, etc. all morning. Cold and rainy after lunch.
