June 9 went to SWRS for dinner from ~1730 - 2230hrs., but (continued) saw nothing on the road. George Q. Middelhof (Howard University) told me that he saw (in a past year) an adult Elaphe triaspis in South Fork Canyon climb an agave and eat some nestling birds.
June 10 Spent the morning preserving snakes Barney gave me. From ~1500 - 1800 hr Claudia and I hiked the trail to Ash Springs and Herb Martyr Dam, but saw only a few Sceloporus janovi. After dinner at the Portal Store we drove to the Sisters site and made three passes over the 3.5 mile stretch between Pucker Canyon Rd. and the ranch gate to the cinder mine. On the way out we got a DOR Phrynosoma cornutum and a DOR Pitophis.
