Greene, H. 1989 June 7 (continued) Creek Canyon (which has water) and Paradise. At 17:15 hr I located the telemetered Crotalus molossus still in his hole this time w/only the head showing - facing directly out and largely filling the hole. At 17:26 hr as I came down from that site, and only a few /os of m below it, a Salvadora grahamae dashed a meter or so then froze stretched out near a flash, whereupon I grabbed it w/ Pilshton Tongs. Site was already in shade of the bluff. From 19:45-21:00 hr I repeatedly drove the first 2-3 mi E. of Portal, but saw nothing. June 8 Antelope Pass, Hidalgo Co., New Mexico Visited an array of can trap grids extending from W. side of this Pass to E., run by Barney Tomberlin and Tony Snell for New Mexico Fish western and Game Dept. This morning, at the eastern - most site, we saw in the cans Cnemidophorus sonorae, C. ligios, Cophosaurus texanus, Phrynosoma modestum Uta stansburiana , and a Heloderma suspectum! I found the latter in a can near mesquite and other dense vegetation, >2 m from the edge of a dry wash. It was a very young one, very pale and w/ a distinct umbilical scar (134+53mm, 30.4g.). Very feisty - squirmed, gaped, and readily bit a plastic bag. At the western - most site (Town of Arivaca visible in the distance) we saw an adult Phrynosoma
