Green, H. 1987 1 July Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, Prov. Puntarenas, Costa Rica Arrived here and took a room at the Hotel Manuel Antonio at approx 0900 hr, after a fast and uneventful flight on "Sansa" to Quepos. W/ Beth Newell, a Stanford U. postdoc who works at La Selva, and we initially had some confusion over a room because we wanted two beds - finally ended up for the same price in a room of w/ four beds. Went for a walk into the park, which basically consists of four bays w/ beaches and the adjacent forest. After a rest we went NW from the hotel along a road that parallels the shore. Saw several juvenile Ctenosaura sunning on the road and nearby rocks, and a couple of Anolea (not festiva - A. quadilineata?), and one smallish adult (?). A fine dinner of fish, ceviche, and a giant quasi banana split we shared. 2 July Entrance N Playa Espadilla Sur Punta Catedral Playa Manuel Antonio Puerto Escondido punta Serrucho
