Greene, H. 1985 1 August Got up late. After lunch went to see Don Miles, at a place east of town on Prince Rd. Coming back, at the base of the Hardy's hill on Old Sabino Canyon Rd., I saw a woodrunner w/ an adult Creomidorhous sp. in its fell. Overcast and rather cool all day. After dinner w/ the Hardys picked up Howard Lawler and wood hunted from ≈2130-2330 h, from Amity Rd to Ajo Rd on Sardario Rd, and over Gota Pass. Saw only 1 juvenile Crotalus scutulatus (DOE), 1 small adult C. atrox (HOE/pae), and 1 DOE juvenile Rhinocdalis decorlei, plus a fair number of Scaphiopus and Bufo alvarius - all on Sardario Rd. Almost full moon, so very bright when not obscured by the clouds. 2 August Out to Desert Museum for lunch and a visit w/ Howard Lawler (my wood hunting companion all week and Curator of Small Animals). Rained very heavily. After dinner, Dave Hardy and I drove to Vail, ≈25 miles SE of Tucson. Saw only Bufo alvarius, Scaphiopus, a Coleonyx, and one subadult Crotalus scutulatus. Not raining, large moon intermittently visible. 3 August After lunch drove to Cave Creek Canyon in the Chiricahuas Mountains, Coctise Co. to see Barney Torberlin. Stopped for gas in Bowie, a few miles W. of the New Mexico line on I-10. Lady in store said she'd had a bad day with
