20 February (continued) along the laboratory sidewalk, just west of the Swa Bridge; a light rain was falling. It squirmed and splashed me w/ something foul smelling out of the cloaca. On 15 February Vicky showed me a fresh Felis onca scat at 902m on the CCH - it was apparently not there when she first walked the trail at dawn, but was there later in the morning. I went to the Clarkso' house for wine, and while there a ~3.5' Bothrops asper was twice seen crossing the sidewalk steps near the Old AC Job. About ~2300 I developed an awful migraine headache that kept me up most of the night and lasted 'til late the afternoon of the 16th. About 1950hr that night David Thompson showed me an adult Oxyrhopus petola near the Old AC Job - it squirmed and crawled fast, but never bit. On 17 Feb I walked CCH, CC, Sendero El Suapio and back on Holdridge. Found a Felis onca scat at 325m on Holdridge Trail at 1020hr; damp, solid, and seemingly consisting solely of sloth hair - has "ball & socket" shape. At 1042hr found a gravid ? Rhadinaea decorata crawling across the SOR at 145m. It squirmed and cloacal discharged. Walked to Arboretum and back, and at the jet
