1983 27 January ≈0930 In I was in my room and heard Bob Colwell call "coral snake." He found a small micrurus microstictus (stomach empty, photos) crawling across the sidewalk in front of the bathrooms. It thrashed, body flattened, tail displayed, and bit frantically and repeatedly when pinned. After lunch walked to ≈1800m on the Sabolo Esquina trail to check the stumps for Bothrops asper, but saw only many Ameira. 28 January ≈0900 Orlando brought me an Anomastidion found crawling on the other side of the bridge on the way to the AC labs. Raised from midmorning 'til ≈1530h. This AM Orlando also showed me an Agalychnis callidryas sleeping on a leaf ≈2.5 m above the sidewalk, just behind the showers. I photographed it, then gently took down the leaf and taped it to my shelf w/out it waking up. 29 January Up for breakfast, then mapped and read. From 1315-1500h walked W. to back side of old cacao grove, each w/ a detour in Plot I, over to Arboretum and back. At 1401 got a Mastigodryas melanobonus crawling on trail at ≈ SOC 900. It squirmed and bit repeatedly when seized. Saw a Nasua ≈ 5ura 250 at 1446h. Jeda brought me a small Rhiodemmys which she found in the successional plots this morning,
