Conal Hollow Rd, San Joaquin Co., California
Trip to Castle Rock w/ Zoology 107 class,
cool & windy. Just as darkness fell some
students saw a Lampropeltis getulus
crawling along the base of the bluff.
My car saw no snakes, a few toads
(Bufo boreas and Scaphiopus hammordi),
and a badger, Taxidea taxus, on the
road.
20 June Left Berkeley approx 1530 h w/ Kristine Tollestrup
and drove to Dee Vining for the night.
Stopped to turn logs at a likely looking
spot in the Sierra, but nothing.
