Greene, H. 1982 17 April (continued) forest, we found Bufo boreas, Batrachoseps, Aneides ferreus, A. flavipunctatus, Eumeces, Taricha granulosa, Sceloporus occidentalis, Thamnophis elegans, and Charina. One Charina (HWG1126) was a very battered juvenile, and one was an adult male. From the latter (HWG1127) I palped 2 nestling moles (Scapanus sp.) that had been swallowed head first. 9.1 mi E. Flynn Creek Rd. on Orr Springs Rd., Mendocino Co., California This is an old road cut w/ a small trickle in it, coming down a steep hill on the S. side of the road. We found Aneides flavipunctatus, Batrachoseps, Taricha granulosa, Ensatina, Hyla, Eumeces, Gerrhonotus coeruleus (1 active at water's edge ≈ 1400 m), Sceloporus occidentalis, and 4 Diadophis. The Diadophis were under logs and all tail coiled when handled or, in case of the largest, when its cover was lifted. Claudia Iube found Lynx rufus feces on ground beside the stream.
