Azere, H. 1982 16 April Left Berkeley in the early afternoon w/ John cadle and 16 students in zoology 165 for Mendocino Co. Stopped in vicinity of Staggs Springs in Sonoma Co., but couldn't get access. cadle then went by coastal route and stopped for some collecting, while I took 2 cars up hwy 128. Camped at Hendy Woods State park. 17 April 1.7 mi N. Hwy 128 on Flynn Creek Rd., Mendocino Co., California This is an area of streamside forest beside a stream on the west side of the road, w/ open areas and ties from an abandoned railroad line. Spent about 1 hour here and get Areides flavipunctatus, Eoscatina, Taricha granulosa, Batrachoseps, Hyla, Euceeces, and Genhonotus coeruleus (DOR), and Thamnophis elegans (DOR). 6.1 mi E. Flynn Creek Road on Orr Springs Rd., Mendocino Co., California This is coniferous forest (great vistas) on a ridge at a place where there is an abandoned truck, lots of lumber strewn about, and other trash. There are small, shallow pools at the roadside w/ many tadpoles of Hyla and a few transforming frogs too. Turning boards and some logs in the
