Greene, H. 1979 3 March (cont.) RT 76, San Diego Co. (cont.) under fallen stump. It seems quite surprised - inflated as it is uncovered & bites & shits when picked up. Driving above this site, we overheated & stopped at a roadside stream to cool engine. When we reached Palomar P.O. repaired a hose. Here we met Ted Pappenfuss' friend from San Diego, Scott Haskins. Will Valley, 6.3 mi SE Palomar P.O., San Diego Co., California We stopped here after getting nothing in the deep snow higher up. Split up here it worked 1 1/2 hours - I got 1 skunk under log on an open hillside the only keep. Lunch. Nice place though, w/ bt vegilla calli. Ridges bordering a nice green valley w/ ground squirrels in it. Watched a golden eagle make two roundtrips of the entire valley, flying very low over ground.
