I gently pinned it caught it - never rattled or opened mouth. Total length about 1 m or more (DBW later guessed 5' - too long for sure). Released it, and later as we left it was still there. 2 March Santiago Creek at Chapman Avenue, Orange, Orange Co., California Near houses, large trashy vacant area bordering almost dry wash. In 15 min we find 1 jaw & 2 adult Gekkonids - I found 1 ad under small log in middle of the wash. I also found a small Bufo boreas under trash above the wash (not kept).
