Rain has more or less stopped and we
worked here ~2 hour, 'till sundown.
Nice canyon, oaks, stream, pasture
(lots of BS & some cows see), boulders
- all this right against a subdivision
of very, new, as yet unoccupied houses.

I found an adult Crotalus ruber under
a large, upright, yellow cracked garbage
can. This was amidst dense brush on
rocky rubble at bottom of steep slope
