[illegible]
We found 3 Phrynus douglasi in a
fairly small area (~10-15m on a
side) bordering on the rocky outcrop.
First was a F ~80mm TL that was
in full sun at the edge of an ant
mound & very hard to see. Second
was a small M (38+12 mm) that I
found when it ran a short (~1/8")
distance on the rocky outcrop. This
place was ~2 m from a [illegible]
displaying S. graciosa, which
I collected. The third P. douglasi
was on the shady side of a rock,
~.5 m from an ant nest. According
to Kristine, each of these was
near a red ant (Pogonomyrmex)
nest, but their faces and the
other Phrynus scuts she checked
here contain another black & red ant.
