says I should talk w/ Dr. Brach, head of
the Proyecto Vicuña - says he's interested

25 November
Slept late - feeling a little better. Took
collectivo to vicinity of ministerio de agricultura
and walked around until found Proyecto Vicuña
- Dr. Brach not in 'til 1 or 2. Caught cab to
Botica Inglesa & purchased a liter of 40% formallina for S. 600. Caught cab back to
Av. Natalio Sanchez and met the permit people.
Got a lecture on what I should do next time
and then a permit to collect 6 of each species.
Said I must allow 3 days on return for export
permit! Next went to see Dr. Antonio Brach,
who was just starting lunch in his office.
Talked w/ him about conservation in Peru,
callopistes, etc., and he gave me a copy of
his book, El ambiente en que vivimos.
Next back to Pension Alemana, lunch, and
left for airport at ≈1700. At airport learned
plane was "(h)" late. Finally boarded
plane and took off at 2004. After >30 minutes
in the air we made a steep turn and the
pilot announced we were returning to Lima
