Here, H. 1980 1 June falls. Had a nice swim and saw Byrs (cont.) punctatus , Gallisaurus , and Garbelia in the canyon. Due to a low tank, I drove to Trona for gas, followed by Jeff Kaufman for safety. Returned in time for road hunting. We sent three cars out on nearly roads, and got 2 jwr C. mitchelli , 1 L. getulus , 1 Sonora , 2 Coleman, 2 C. erastes , 2 Phyllohyphelus , and 1 Hypsohela . It was warm and dark but clear. Saw a gray fox (Uwagon) dash across the road as we pulled up to our campsite. 2 June left the campsite at 0830 to head home via Walker Pass and the leopard lizard reserve at Pifley. Saw a car hit an adult Gotalus viridis on the road in Kern Canyon. Walked around for 45 minutes at Pifley; saw 2 dead and dried Phrynosora coronatin in the dirt road, and 3 & 6 Garbelia silus in the grass. All had a rosy cast, and at least two (one I caught, one seen at close range) also had lemon yellow around the vertical part of the tail base. Got a good close look at a prairie falcon flying low
