30 April Area where we saw lots of Dipsoasaurus,
(cont.) some very large, was in the vicinity
of the intersection of Split Mountain Road
& Old Kane Spring Rd., ~2 mi S. Octillo Wells.

The desert iguanas were along roadside on
elevated rocks and the graded soil ridge.
They seemed to have full stomachs, very
warm bodies, and weren't especially
wary. We also saw several Uta basking
on the rocks, including one pair lying in
contact.
