Atene, H. 1980 29 April (cont.) 9043.9 - going W. on Gander Rd &.1 mi W. of Hwy 33 Imperial Co. Sire Mephitis crossed road & went down into burrow in canal embankment. Farmland 9061.2 - turn around and head west at the RR in Glanis. Bark sign in El Centro said 18°C at 1850 (now 1950). 9074.1 - DOR small adult C. cerastes, not saved. 9087.6 - Buto sp on Hwy 78 9688.0 yet 111 9091.7 turn W. on Cody Rd. 9694.4 turn S. on S-30 9098.5 turn W. on Imier Rd. (turns S.) 9112.9 turn W. on S-80 9117.3 Coleonyx 9129.7 Ocotillo Jct., turn around, going E on S-80 Note: On one trip to Ocotillo last night got 6 coleonyx and 2 C. cerastes. Tonight got 1 coleonyx only on one round trip. Tonight it was colder, windier, and brighter (big moon, no clouds tonight). Also, note that all 7 Coleonyx were between El Centro and Plaster city. The area between Plaster City and Coyote Wells is posted as open to O.R.V.'s and we got no geckos there.
