Greene, H. 1980 20 April (cont.) Cold, windy, overcast. 7170.9 - Jst Hwy 253 & Hwy 128, 4.5 mi S. of Hwy 253 on Hwy 128, Mendocino Co. large grassy field, several hundred yards long and ~100 yds wide, separated from E facing slope by a fast, full stream. Searching under boards, sheets of tin, etc. Bufo boreas - 2 adults + 1 regurgitated by Thamnophis Sceloporus - several. Eumeces - several. Thamnophis sirtalis - large, red adult, regurgitated freshly eaten adult Bufo boreas that was swallowed head first. Crotalus terris - 1 under a board. 1500, cold, cloudy, occasional sun, or we left. 1528, park sign in Cloverdale says 12°C. Some wts. and lengths for snakes from the trips. Bufo boreas (regurgitated) ~~> 76.2g Thamnophis sirtalis - 310.9 - 5.4 = 305.5g, 830+265mm Sceloporus (removed from C. viridis) 11.2g, ?, 73+13+31 Crotalus viridis (ate above) 10.5g, 250+18 mm Diadophis (Hwy 253)(disgorge? Batrachoseps) 3.5g
