San Felipe, S.L. Lower Calif. Mexico. April 13, 1926. 125. Mimus polyglottis leucopterus ♂ (juv.) 53.9 G. killed in the air as it flew from Lycum brush to mosquito tree. 126. Larus glaucescens ♀ Killed on beach among a flock of mixed gulls near fish camp. 127. Larus heermanni ♀ killed over the (skeleton) surf at high tide with some terns. 128. Lizard shot in sand. Day cleared off in the afternoon. In the afternoon at high tide, took a Larus glaucescens from a large flock of mixed gulls. His dead body attracted among others, a Larus occidentalis lucens which was shot. One other was seen at the same time. They are quite scarce. A Larus heermanni immature was shot shot while in company with a large flock of Sterna elegans which were feeding diving into a school of fish near shore. The heermanni did not try to rob the elegans like the other gulls did, but dove and caught for herself. One other was seen at the same time.
